BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR--YOU MAY JUST GET IT!

I guess you could say Bo had a pretty good day on the road, July 16, 1988 at Fenway Park in Boston.  His towering moonshot off the Oil Can was still rising as it crashed into a billboard  deep out of play in center field (this final obstacle which is no longer there was the only thing that kept the ball from completely leaving the stadium).  This, Bo's 12th HR of the 1988 campaign, was the longest home run EVER hit in the history of legendary Fenway Park.  Having initially missed the ball's trajectory, the TV cameraman panned up toward the sky in awe!

This is the magical sphere that Bo sent on that wild 515 foot ride!  One of the few known Bo Jackson home run balls, and what a dandy!  Formerly in the collection of (and Letter of Authenticity from) 23 year American League Umpire Durwood Merril.

Bo steps into the scoreboard at Fenway's Green Monster to escape the 100 degree heat and grab a quick drink of water.
